Concerto Grosso's sire is CONCERTO II, full brother to Grand Prix show jumper
Concerto I. Concerto II died early from complications following colic surgery but
in spite of his young age left behind several approved stallion sons, such as Centimor,
Cisco, Calippo etc., many of them standing at the Holsteiner Verband. Concerto II is,
amazingly enough since he only had time to sire very few foal crops, the second leading
jumper sire in the new FN-breeding values, right behind the Hanoverian Stakkato and
before Cassini I and Carthago.

and has made his reputation as an unequaled improvement sire in the Holsteiner breed. The

pedigree is the Grand Prix jumper mare Heureka, who competed with H. Schridde,
and is the dam of Ahorn Z.
